Test keys (sandbox)
Test keys start with ak_test_. You can create them as soon as you apply, before anyone has reviewed your app.
What test keys return
| Endpoints | Test key returns |
|---|---|
/v1/catalog/*, /v1/news | Real, live data (it is public anyway). |
/v1/me, /v1/me/* | A fixed fake account: user test_developer, a VIP plan, a balance of 245 000 UZS, three orders, an active Hour Boost plan and a few notifications. |
/v1/key | The real details of your test key. |
Fake data has the exact same shape as live data, including pagination, so code written against a test key works unchanged with a live key. Fake order numbers start with TST, for example TST000503.
Limits and logging
Test keys have the same rate limits as live keys and show up in your request log, so you can test your error handling for rate_limited too.
Switching to live
- Wait for the approval message.
- Create a live key in the dashboard with the same permissions.
- Swap the key in your environment variable. Nothing else changes.
